More copper wire has been stolen by thieves likely trying to cash in on higher metal prices.

A number of similar incidents have already occupied Prince George police and done damage to local companies' resources. The latest case was discovered Tuesday on the Blackwater Road.

An undisclosed quantity of wire was stolen sometime between Monday evening and Tuesday morning from an area near Leslie Road off of the Blackwater. The wire was not being used at the time.

Police are asking for any information that might point out who is behind this theft, or any incident of stealing copper.
