Lloyd William Cook remained in custody following an appearance by video on Wednesday before a justice of the peace at the Prince George courthouse on a charge of failing to appear pursuant to a court order.
That matter was put over to Monday for a bail hearing, although it appears unlikely he will be granted bail after failing to show up Jan. 31 for a verdict on the four charges he had been facing in the January 2000 death of his stepson, 13-year-old Adam Scott Williams-Dudoward.
In his absence, Cook was found guilty last Friday of unlawful confinement after court heard the boy had been tied up and left in a bedroom for days prior to his death, and to indignity to a dead body, for keeping the body in a car trunk for as much as month before burying him in a shallow grave outside city limits.
Cook, who was found not guilty of manslaughter and criminal negligence causing death, remains subject to sentencing before a B.C. Supreme Court Justice.
