Convenience store robbed

Police are on the lookout for two suspects following an armed robbery of a convenience store on Monday night. A man entered the PG Foods in the 3100 block of 15th Avenue, near Central Street East at about 8:35 p.m.

Police are on the lookout for two suspects following an armed robbery of a convenience store on Monday night.

A man entered the PG Foods in the 3100 block of 15th Avenue, near Central Street East at about 8:35 p.m., pulled out a knife and made off with the store's cash register, Prince George RCMP Cst. Craig Douglass said.

The man ran to a vehicle waiting near a local elementary school, where he discarded the cash register, but kept the money. The man and another male fled the scene in the vehicle.

The vehicle was located abandoned near Garvin Street, several blocks away from where the robbery occurred.
