The city plans to close Tyner Boulevard from July 11-13 to allow for water main/sewer drain construction on the road that leads to UNBC from College Heights.

Properties in the University Heights and Parkview subdivisions will have a temporary water outage on Wednesday between 8 a.m. and noon, the City of Prince George announced shortly after 4 p.m. on Tuesday.

The water outage is linked the utility construction happening on Tyner Boulevard. Construction started on Tuesday and is expected to be continue until Thursday.

The section of Tyner Boulevard that leads up the hill from College Heights near where new residential housing is being built between the existing University Heights subdivision to the main entrance to the campus (Ceremonial Road) is shut down to allow a water main extension and three new storm drain connections to be installed.

During the construction, road access to UNBC will be limited to University Way from Foothills Boulevard.

BC Transit routes will also be affected as a result of the closure and more information about that is available on the website.
