Adults and children alike will enjoy a full day of entertainment at Community Day on August 28, and support charities at the same time.
The day starts at the movies with the theatre opens up at 7:30 a.m.
Six movies will be showing, including the Tooth Fairy, Shrek Forever After, Iron Man 2, Karate Kid, Twilight New Moon and How to Train Your Dragon.
The concession will be open, offering $2 pop and $2 popcorn, all of the proceeds will go to the Starlight Foundation, which works with the University Hospital of Northern B.C. to make children's stay more comfortable.
The whole day will only cost $5 a head, which gets you into the movie theatre in the morning and into the Masich Place Stadium in the afternoon for the Family Fun Fest, running from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
"I did a community day earlier this year that was really successful, so we wanted to another event where we didn't have to turn anybody away," said Devin Petch, the general manager of famous players who helped organize the day of events.
The event in March raised money for the Starlight Foundation and raised enough money for a $5,000 fun centre that will soon be built at the hospital.
Petch said many local companies have come forward to help with the charity event.
Half of the admission will go to the PEADS Ward at the hospital and half will go to the P.G. chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
The afternoon features numerous activities, including a dunk tank, climbing wall and even some live music from Rick Stavely, a Canadian born country singer who lives in Prince George.
