Celebrating 25 years of music, the Prince George Community Band will perform at the Central British Columbia Railway and Forestry Museum Saturday at 1 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.

Everyone is welcome to attend the party, and past band members are encouraged to visit with old friends.

Since it's the city's centennial as well as the community band's anniversary, there will be a cake for everyone to enjoy.

The Prince George Community Band began in 1990 to provide musical entertainment for the B.C. Summer Games held in Prince George that year.

It was a small group that started the band and it has now grown to more than 30 members.

Admission is free with a donation of a non-perishable food item to the Salvation Army food bank.
