Collision victim identified

The B.C. Coroners Service has identified a 66-year-old McBride woman as the person who died Nov. 7 in a collision on Highway 16 East.

Regina Baye Timmons was in the front passenger seat of a car that collided with a loaded logging truck east of Purden Lake, about 60 kilometres east of Prince George.

Timmons was deceased at the scene. The collision occurred at about 2:40 p.m. and closed the stretch for several hours.

It was the first day of significant snowfall this winter and road conditions at the time were described as treacherous.
