A motor vehicle collision east of Prince George on Wednesday has claimed a life, RCMP have confirmed.
"Our thoughts are with the friends and family of the deceased in their time of mourning," Cpl. Jennifer Cooper said in a statement.
Two cars were involved in the crash on Highway 16 between Old Cariboo Highway and Graves Road. The scene was closed for several hours on Wednesday.
One other person was taken to hospital with serious injuries while the occupants of the other car sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
The investigation is ongoing and there will be no further updates, RCMP said.
