The Climb for Cancer raised triple its intended goal, organizers said this week.
In all, the event generated $30,000 for the Kordyban Lodge, while also drawing over 200 participants on the day of the event, held April 23, when they climbed the cutbanks on PG Pulpmill Road to make good on pledges.
The success has prompted organizers to hold the event again next year, on April 22.
Registration will be open in September for individuals and businesses at www.northernlightswinery.ca (click the link at the top).
Participants are encouraged to form teams of five to 20 friends, family and co-workers and raise
$5 to $500 towards the cause, either online or in person.
