Civic appreciation banquet

The City of Prince George held a banquet at the Civic Centre Saturday night to honour 15 deserving volunteers. The youth of the year award, presented by Coun. Garth Frizzell, went to Fei Ge, with honourable mentions to Ahsen Chaudry and Alyssa Fatum.

The City of Prince George held a banquet at the Civic Centre Saturday night to honour 15 deserving volunteers.

The youth of the year award, presented by Coun. Garth Frizzell, went to Fei Ge, with honourable mentions to Ahsen Chaudry and Alyssa Fatum.

The recreation award of merit, presented by Coun. Frank Everitt, went to Linda Weissenmayer and Avril Harris. The outstanding community service awards were presented by Coun. Dave Wilbur and Coun. Murry Krause to Lucille McClung, Sandra Goodkey, Sharifa Zad-Mohamed, Dr. Si Transken, Donna Lindsay, David Halikowski and Joynce Bickford.

The access award of merit was presented by Coun. Cameron Stolz to Nowel Senior and the Caledonia Ramblers.

The outstanding volunteer award of merit was presented to lifelong volunteers Barbara Harkins and Kathy Nadalin.
