The city has issued updated numbers from last night's local government election.

Instead of the initially reported 111 ballots cast in favour of Frank Everitt at the Kelly Road polling station, the incumbent actually received 1,111 votes.

This puts Everitt's total votes to 7,788 and moves him up to a fifth place finish, swapping spots with newcomer Jillian Merrick.

The new numbers also remove an extra vote cast for Susan Scott at the Edgewood elementary school polling station.

The adjusted numbers don't affect the overall preliminary results announced Saturday night. The chief election officer will make an official declaration of results by the chief Wednesday.
