The City of Prince George is seeking public input to gauge residents’ level of satisfaction and help city staff identify what people consider their priorities for the 2024 budget.
The city has posted on its website a series of online surveys that pose 10 questions or less on five different topics – events/recreation, parks/trails, protective services, roads/sidewalks and snow removal.
The Your City, Your Priorities 2024 check-up surveys will be available until Sept. 29.
These are in addition to the 2024 budget survey that will be made available on the city website in October.
The difference between the check-up surveys and the budget survey is the budget poll provides respondents the option to enter their property assessment value to determine the impact certain budget changes would have on their property taxes.
Results of each of the surveys are available on the city’s Get Involved webpage.
Earlier this year, the Finance and Audit Committee took into account the online public survey responses before finalizing the 2023 budget.
In October, the city will host three townhall meetings – one at the Prince George Conference and Convention Centre, one on College Heights, one in the Hart – to give residents a chance to ask questions of city staff about municipal services.
