The City of Prince George will be flushing water mains in the Hart area in June and July.

The City of Prince George will be flushing water mains in the Hart area throughout June and July, the city announced on social media.

The work is expected to happen over the next two months, Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

“Crews flush the mains at high speeds to scrub sediment and mineral deposits from the pipes to improve our water quality and flow,” the city announced on social media. “During flushing, you may notice reduced water pressure or discolouration. Disruptions should be brief and will only take place while mains in the area are being flushed.”

If water comes out looking discoloured, run the tap until the water runs clear, the city advised.
