Official Community Plan review work started last September.

The city will be hosting more pop-up events allowing people to have their say on the Official Community Plan (OCP) review.

These will take place on Tuesday, April 9, from 4:30 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday April 10, from 4:30 to 8 p.m. at the House of Ancestors at 355 Vancouver Street.

These sessions allow residents to learn more about the review process, plus get involved by highlighting different areas of Prince George that are important to them for preservation or improvement, and what people’s ideal vision for the city looks like in the future.

The city’s existing OCP was last changed in 2011.

The new OCP will guide growth and development through to 2050.

Topics for discussion will include:

While childcare won’t be provided, there will be engagement activities for children and youth.

The OCP review process started in September last year with community sessions and an online survey. Drafting of the OCP began in August and the final OCP review and approval is expected by the end of the year.
