The City of Prince George has received $398,496 as a share of the traffic fine revenue collected around the province in 2014.
In all, $21 million was disbursed to municipalities around the province in the first of two installments this year. The next installment will come out in June.
Disbursements are based on a municipality's policing costs relative to the total policing costs paid by all municipalities and come with no strings attached, according to a Ministry of Community, Sport and Cultural Development news release issued Monday.
