The City of Prince George is encouraging kids to explore local parks this spring and summer with a new passport program.
Starting Wednesday, May 7 and until July 31, children of all ages can use the PG Parks Passport to visit local parks and answer questions found inside the passport.
Once completed, parents can email the passport to Parks and Recreation Services at [email protected] to enter their child into a draw for a chance to win one of the following prizes:
- BCNE family packages (two free adult gate admissions and one free ride pass)
- Kids’ day camp passes and one free three-month family membership to the Family Y
- Free children’s admission to The Exploration Place
- Youth day passes and rental packages to OVERhang climbing gym
- Bicycle helmets and accessories (e.g., gloves and bells) from Koops Bike Shop
In addition, the first 50 children to submit a completed passport will receive a free admission pass to either the Canfor Leisure Pool or the Aquatic Centre.
Passports can be picked up in person at City Hall, or downloaded and printed at home.
