City crews are approaching the completion of scheduled paving for 2017.
Last week, six of the last scheduled projects were completed including 3rd Avenue between Patricia and Toronto Street ($135,000), 4th Avenue between Queensway and London Street, ($225,000), Ottawa Street between 2nd Avenue and 4th Avenue ($32,000), Windsor Street between 2nd Avenue and 3rd Avenue ($30,000), London Street between 2nd Avenue and 4th Avenue ($25,000) and Toronto Street between 2nd Avenue and 4th Avenue. ($31,000).
The 2017 Road Rehabilitation Program is nearly complete with only two paving projects pending in the Hart, with expected completion for both projects at the end of October.
Council approved a budget of $5 million for road rehabilitation projects earlier this year, $600,000 for sidewalk rehabilitation and $400,000 for new sidewalk construction projects.
