Members of city council are heading to the Hart to hear what the community has to say, face to face.

Billed as the Hart Neighbourhood Conversation, a two-hour meeting on June 24 at the Hart Pioneer Centre will provide an overview of council's priorities, a progress report on issues identified at a 2011 neighbourhood meeting and discussions focused on parks and trails, housing, social development, roads and transit and utilities.

This is the first of neighbourhood-centric meetings that council and city staff will host throughout the city.

"What do people want to see more of in their neighbourhood? What do they want to see less of? We want to hear it straight from residents," Mayor Lyn Hall said in a press release.

Hall's mayoral campaign focused heavily on the idea of conversation and taking that conversation to various areas of the city.

The meeting, held instead of a previously scheduled city council meeting, will run from 7 to 9 p.m. All ages are welcome and refreshments will be provided.
