On Monday at 9 a.m., at Spruceland elementary school, the public will get the unveiling of a special Eagle In The City artwork.

This eagle statue is part of the province-wide fundraising campaign by the BC Lions Society. Many are already up around Prince George, painted by well known B.C. artists, including several from Prince George. This particular one was painted by Marc LaCaille.

The City of Prince George purchased this eagle, which has been on display up until now on Seymour Street in Vancouver. It will make its Prince George debut at the school where LaCaille works. Mayor Dan Rogers will help pull the cover off before the painting/statue is placed permanently at Civic Plaza.
