Devan Tasa has joined the Prince George Citizen as a reporter and associate news editor.
Tasa, a 2004 graduate of Kelly Road Secondary in Prince George, went to UNBC and received a bachelor of arts degree in political science and international studies in 2009.
During his time at UNBC, Tasa was the treasurer and president of the UNBC Political Science Student Association. He also served roles with the Northern Undergraduate Student Society and was a student senator for two years on UNBC's Senate.
From there, he went to Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops and received a degree in journalism in 2013. Before coming to The Citizen, Tasa was working at the Assiniboia Times, a Glacier Media weekly in southern Saskatchewan.
Tasa will be handling copy editing and page layout duties in the Citizen newsroom, as well as general assignment news stories.
The Citizen newsroom is made up of 15 provincial and national award-winning reporters, editors and photographers.
