The Prince George Community Arts Council will hold its annual Spring Arts Bazaar Saturday at Studio 2880 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. rain or shine.

There will be a Celebrity Chili Cook Off, an arts market, live entertainment, a children's play area and a live art auction.

The guests at the market can judge chili for themselves by purchasing a pottery bowl for $12, sampling all the chili and casting a vote for the best one. The competitors in the Chili Cook Off are the Drive Me to the River Dream Bean Team from 101.3 The River, Stop Light Chili from CFIS FM, The Spice Cabinet from Shirley Bond and Pat Bell's office, Serious Chili from Serious Moonlight Productions, the Red Hot Chili Potters from the P.G. Potters Guild and the Fire in the Hole from P. G. Firefighters.

The arts market will include works from local artisans, including paintings, carvings, jewelry, and garden art.

Live entertainment will feature local bands as well as the White Spruce City chorus.

The children's play area will feature activities guided by the Summer Day Camp of the Arts staff and parents are encouraged to participate.

The live auction begins at 2 p.m. for items donated from the vendors at the arts market. Proceeds go to help offset arts organizations funding cuts made by the government.
