A Hart area man no longer stands accused of firing a shot at a woman.
A count of discharging a firearm with an attempt to wound or disfigure against Colin Wayne Hall was stayed Monday during a hearing in Prince George provincial court.
He was arrested during the early morning of April 11, 2017 when RCMP were called to a 2800-block Highway 97 home, near Bellamy Road.
A portion of Highway 97 was closed for about 15 minutes as a precaution. A dog team was called in and Hall was located within a few minutes. Hall and the woman are known to each other and no injuries were reported, RCMP said at the time.
Hall must still serve three years probation and was issued a five-year firearms prohibition for one count each of careless use or storage of a firearm and possessing a weapon for dangerous. He was also credited with 120 days time served on those counts.
He was also sentenced to 60 days time served and to seven days time served for assaulting a peace officer and breaching an undertaking or recognizance from incidents on September 2 and 3.
And he was assessed $800 in victim surcharges on the convictions.
A count of unlawful discharge of a firearm was also stayed.
