Chamber scores "open skies" victory

Prince George Chamber of Commerce achieved a "huge success" when it convinced the Canadian Chamber of Commerce membership last week to support a resolution urging an "open sky" for airlines operating in Canada, says president Roy Spooner.

Prince George Chamber of Commerce achieved a "huge success" when it convinced the Canadian Chamber of Commerce membership last week to support a resolution urging an "open sky" for airlines operating in Canada, says president Roy Spooner.

The PGCC overcame some resistance from chambers in central Canada, where the major Canadian carriers are based, during a convention in Gatineau, Quebec to achieve 85-per-cent support where two-thirds is needed to pass a resolution.
