The Prince George Chamber of Commerce has launched this year's edition of its Top 40 Under 40 magazine, the publication that showcases many of the city's up-and-comers.

Now in its third year, the magazine has gained newfound support over that time, according to Chamber CEO Christie Ray.

"What makes this year's Top 40 initiative particularly special is the incredible partners who have come on board to support the project and help us amplify these good news stories," Ray said.

Those partners include the City of Prince George, the University of Northern British Columbia UNBC-Continuing Studies, Hell Yeah Prince George!, Business Development Bank of Canada and Telus.

The magazine is not the only place where finalists will be profiled. For 40 consecutive days, starting today, they will be individually highlighted through chamber and community partner social media networks and online.

Additionally, each Top 40 finalist profile will be posted on the City's MoveUp Prince George website as a way to attract new residents to the city and increase pride for those who already call Prince George home.

Winners are chosen based on such values as professional achievements, experience, leadership and community involvement.

The publication recognizes Prince George's rising stars, individuals from a wide range of industries who have already achieved considerable success for their age.

What began as a feel good publication has also become a community tool. Copies continue to be used by businesses and organizations, like the Northern Health Authority and Canfor, in their employee recruitment efforts, according to the Chamber.

Copies are available at the Chamber office, 890 Vancouver St., and online at issuu.com/princegeorgechamberofcommerce/docs/top_40_final.
