Dougherty replaced outgoing president Bill McGill during the Chamber's annual general meeting on Thursday night.

Joining him on the new executive are Bill Phillips of the Prince George Free Press in the position of Vice President-Finance, plus Ranjit Gill of the Prince George Railway and Forestry Museum and Tracy McCall of McCall Communications and Marketing in the other vice-president positions. McGill of UNBC, whose term had ended, will remain on the executive in the position of past-president.

The board of directors, working alongside the executive, has some returning members but also added new members through the AGM's election process.

Comprising this year's director's team are: Cindi Pohl (Waste Management Inc.), Krista Larsen (Business Development Bank of Canada), Lorna Wendling (Deloitte and Touche LLP), Corey Naphtali (KPMG), Bruce Wayne (Coca Cola), Bill Quinn (NuStride Executive Coaching), Dorothy Friesen (Individual Member), Kara Biles (Canfor), Ernest Daddey (Innovation Central Society), and Shane Larsen (Atco Structures).

Dougherty's official induction as president will take place April 6 at the Ramada Hotel (tickets $85 plus tax). The theme is "Black Tie and Blue Jeans."
