The Prince George Chamber of Commerce named their 11 stars of the game Saturday night when they handed out the 2014 Business Excellence Awards.
Three hundred and fifty people turned out at the Civic Centre to participate in the sold-out Hockey Night in Prince George-themed event.
"This year's Business Excellence Awards continued the tradition of delivering a fun and entertaining events, while recognized the best of business in our city," said chamber CEO Christie Ray. Many guests arrived wearing the hockey sweaters of their favourite team, with some even sporting a playoff beard.
Comedian Gery Schubert kept the crowd entertained as Don Cherry and attendees also got to rub shoulders with former Vancouver Canuck goalie Kirk McLean.
In total 11 awards were handed out Saturday night; the traditional 10 ranging from Business Person of the Year to the Service Excellence Awards, as well as the new-to-2014 Hell Yeah Prince George Ambassador Award, which was voted for entirely through Facebook.
"These awards confirm people want to celebrate the success in our city and spread the message that Prince George is a great place to live and do business," said chamber president Ranjit Gill.
The 2014 Prince George Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence Awards winners are:

Business Person of the Year: Jos Van Hage
