After only a few months on the job, the current CEO of the Prince George Chamber of Commerce is moving on.
The chamber announced on Tuesday afternoon that they were reopening their call for CEO candidates.
"Erika Ewacha, who joined the Chamber earlier in 2017, has resigned her position as CEO and will be moving on to new endeavors," said a statement issued by chamber president Corey Naphtali. "We'd like to thank Erika for her service to the chamber, and wish her nothing but success in her next venture."
The 15-member board represents a membership of more than 700 local interests, working to foster the local economy and influence positive change in areas like government policy and the commercial climate of the city.
"The chamber has a dedicated staff and board of directors that will continue to provide the best possible service to our members and to our community," said Naphtali, who added that the CEO search would be conducted over the next few months. "The Prince George Chamber of Commerce has been the 'voice of business' in Prince George for over 100 years."
Businesses, organizations, and individuals can join the chamber. Membership can be obtained at the Chamber office (890 Vancouver Street) or online at www.pgchamber.bc.ca. The application process for the CEO position will be announced soon.
