Application forms are now available for grants towards Prince George centennial activities.
The city committee behind the 2015 celebrations has joined forces with EnhancePG to develop a new grant program to assist with new or existing events, festivals and projects commemorating the past 100 years and the municipality's future.
Grants can range from $250 to $3,000. EnhancePG will adjudicate the applications and make recommendations to the 100th anniversary committee. A total of $25,000 in funding is available with two deadlines - 4:30 p.m. on Sept. 30 and Jan. 30, 2015.
Ideas that have already come forward include a soap box derby, heritage hikes, a time capsule, street festivals and live music at Fort George Park.
