If you're looking for a way to light up the holidays, volunteer with the Central BC Railway and Forestry Museum during their Celebration of Lights event.
The festival takes place from Friday to Dec. 30 with help needed to operate the Cottonwood mini rail train, in the gift shop, with food and beverages, to make up photo buttons and provide some park maintenance.
The celebration features more than 100,000 lights, bonfires with refreshments, live music, rides on the mini rail, guests can visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus, and see the new Christmas village display at the CN Russell House.
The hours of operation for the museum during the Celebration of Lights are:
Dec. 18 to 23 from 4 to 8 p.m.
Dec. 24 from 2 to 6 p.m.
Dec. 26 to 30 from 4 to 7 p.m.
Admission on Dec. 18 is by donation of a non-perishable food item or toy to support the Prince George Salvation Army.
