The case of a driver accused in the death of a pedestrian on Ospika Boulevard is now set for June 23.

The driver, Sandra Cassidy, 68, faces charges including: criminal negligence causing death; dangerous driving causing death; impaired driving causing death; causing an accident resulting in death; and failing to stop at an accident scene involving death.

The charges relate to the death of Stanley Heavysides, 48, who was struck by a dark-coloured Ford Escape SUV as he walked home at about 8 p.m. on Jan. 30 at the intersection of Melody Crescent.
