Classic rock fans will have to wait at least a year to take in the next edition of Cariboo Rocks the North.

Organizers confirmed as much Tuesday, saying the event has been postponed to August 6-8, 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the variety of restrictions and facility closures that have been put in place in answer.

They also said the festival was on pace to fill Exhibition Park and that weekend camping passes had essentially sold out.

Tickets purchased for the 2020 event will be honoured in 2021 and will be entered in to a draw for one of five pairs of tickets to the Alice Cooper show on Nov. 25.

Camping passes purchased for 2020 will also be honoured in 2021 and those who have bought VIP 2020 tickets and hold onto them will be entitled to a pair of tier-one tickets to a Prince George Cougars game.

Refunds will be available to those who can't make next year's event from Mon., June 1 to Fri., June 26 via the TicketsNorth. You will need to call TicketsNorth at 236-423-1157 because the box office is closed and a "minimal fee is applicable," organizers said.
