The fourth annual Seven Summits Bike and Hike Challenge took place above Wells and Barkerville in the Cariboo Mountains Sept. 18
The event covered 56 km over seven mountains with more than seven thousand feet of elevation gained.
There were 48 participants that came from Vancouver and Fort St. John and parts in between.
John Courtney of Quesnel set a new record of six hours and 22 minutes.
The event promotes the use and protection of mountains and historic trails in the north Cariboo. Proceeds go to the Friends of Barkerville who help preserve the routes.
