Cancer research program gains government funding

The University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC) has landed $87,376 of federal government funding towards paying for equipment to aid in the search for anti-cancer drugs.

The University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC) has landed $87,376 of federal government funding towards paying for equipment to aid in the search for anti-cancer drugs.

The equipment, a fluorescence multiplate reader and a circular dichroism spectropolarimeter, would allow researchers to screen chemical molecules for their cancer-fighting potential and provide a glimpse into how they might act as drugs.
