The most decorated figure skaters in Olympic history will grace Prince George with their presence, skill, and passion for ice dancing this Fall.

For the second time in as many years, Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir are headlining a cross-Canada tour that includes a stop at the CN Centre set for Oct. 12, 2019, formally announced as ‘Rock The Rink.’

It will mark a year to the date when 2018’s Thank You Canada Tour came through B.C.’s northern capital and is one of five stops in the province.

In a release from Round Room LIVE, the skaters involved in that show banded together to see how they can continue this form of entertainment while creating a spectacle that focuses on more than just figure skating.

“Last year, we rode the Olympic wave and carried the momentum through the Thank You Canada tour – a fulfilling project that truly allowed us to connect with fans coast to coast," said Virtue in the statement. “This year, it’s critical that we elevate the production and generate authentic entertainment in new and creative ways. Scott and I have spent our career striving for more, taking risks, and daring ourselves to be better…our approach to this is no different.”

She added that this tour will become an annual event for small-medium markets across the nation.

“We want to give people a memorable experience and broaden the scope of what can be done in the show skating realm. We are ready for fresh and innovative ways to share our passion with audiences across the country!”

Some cast members of the Thank You Canada Tour will be returning for Rock The Rink, including Patrick Chan, Kaetlyn Osmond, and Elvis Stojko.

There will also be a wave of international superstars along for the ride as well, such as Olympic Medalist and World Champion Carolina Kostner, Italian World Champions Anna Cappellini and Luca Lanotte and four-time United States national champion Jeremy Abbott.

Tickets go up for sale on Friday, May 3 at 10 a.m.
