The Family YMCA of Prince George has Camp Kanannaq from July 4 to Aug. 26. The campers will learn about nature and be physically active and acquire new outdoor skills.

Kanannawq, an Unuit for North Wind is located at Nukko Lake. It gives kids a chance to explore the outdoors while still being able to sleep in their own beds at night.

For kids who are more artistic than outdoorsy, Two Rivers Gallery is offering Creativity Camp for children entering Grades 1 to 7.

Every week, the camps change their focus.

July 11 to 15 is called Build It! The camp concentrates on architecture and design and how buildings are also pieces of art.

Drawing and Painting runs from July 18 to 22. It will be geared to older children interested in learning different ways to create art including graffiti and comic books.

July 25 to 29 is focused on movement and music where children will enjoy making their own musical instruments and learn about different forms of dance and music.

August 8 to12 is Science and Inventions. This camp will explore the ways to incorporate science into making art.

August 15 to 19 is called Food for Thought. It will allow children to discover how food can be used to make art and they will be painting using foods like spices.
