Camping returns to Prince George’s Cariboo Rocks the North as official line-up is released

Headliner Tom Cochrane will perform Saturday night of the three-day event

Prince George demanded camping to come back for the 2020 installment of Cariboo Rocks the North.

The organizing committee gave the public what its asked for and has announced today (Jan. 30) that camping will be allowed for the third edition of Prince George’s biggest music festival, thanks to B.C. Northern Exhibition (BCNE).

The BCNE is providing an extra 25 per cent of space for campers to set up trailers and tents, which interested attendees must purchase at $150 per spot via TicketsNorth.

“Each year, we put everything we can into making this event the biggest and most badass event we can for the fans, and 2020 will be no exception,” said Event Organizer Kyle Sampson in a news release, adding there was an ‘overwhelming’ demand for camping from the 2019 crowd as it took a one-year hiatus from the inaugural three-day concert series.

“We see folks travelling from across B.C., Alberta, and some coming from as far as Ontario or even the United States to take in a full weekend of making great memories with a PWB beer in their hand, and great rock-n-roll music.”

Meanwhile, Cariboo Rocks the North has also unveiled its official schedule two months after releasing the musical acts for 2020.

Tom Cochrane and his Red Rider Band headline this year’s show and are set to take the stage Saturday, Aug. 8, and will be the final that day.
