Fraserway RV in Prince George and its related outlets owned by The Adventurer Group across Canada has exceeded its goal of raising $500,000 for wildfire victims but is still continuing to accept donations until Saturday.
The Adventurer Group dealerships - Fraserway RV (Alta., B.C., Ont., Y.T), Country RV,(B.C.) and Travelhome RV (B.C.) - have raised $580,011 so far.
All proceeds support Samaritan's Purse Canada and the Canadian Red Cross.
Dealerships have been raising funds by donating $1,500 from every RV sold in B.C., donating 10 per cent of retail parts sold, donating 10 per cent of retail rental bookings from B.C. rental locations, donating $750 from every RV sold at any of the seven dealerships outside of B.C., offering a $1,000 credit on an Adventurer Group Cash Card for evacuated or displaced residents purchasing an RV and matching donations dollar-for dollar by about 800 employees within the Adventurer Group.
"I am inspired by our customers' response to these efforts and encouraged by our staff and suppliers' generosity," says James Epp, owner of the Adventurer Group.
"I also want to acknowledge the tireless work of Samaritan's Purse Canada and Canadian Red Cross in effectively implementing the donation and aid."
