There are 11 different categories for the Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence Awards that need nominations.
The annual chamber event recognizes businesses and the people behind them who demonstrate exceptional qualities.
"The Business Excellence Awards are an opportunity for people to give recognition to the many exceptional businesses in Prince George," said Christie Ray, Chamber CEO. "We know that pride in our community is growing, and we would love to see the Chamber flooded with nominations this year."
The awards categories include entrepreneur of the year, service excellence award, business of the year, business person of the year, community impact award, corporate citizen of the year, micro business of the year, environmental leadership award, tourism impact award, outstanding corporate culture award and Hell Yeah Prince George ambassador award.
The Hell Yeah Prince George ambassador award was first started last year and engaged online voters only. The award was inspired by the popular Hell Yeah Prince George Facebook group that showcases only positive features of the community.
The winners in the 11 categories will be announced at an awards gala in October.
June 22 is the deadline for nominations, which can be submitted at http://www.pgchamber.bc.ca/events/business-excellence-awards/.
