B.C. Transit will provide service on statutory holidays starting with Labour Day.

Buses will be running on statutory holidays in Prince George starting with Labour Day, B.C. Transit confirmed Friday.
"Sunday-level service," where buses show up on an hourly basis, will also be provided on Thanksgiving, Remembrance Day, Boxing Day and Family Day over 2016-17.
In July, city council approved a memorandum of understanding with B.C. Transit that adds 2,500 more hours of service to the city's conventional or "fixed route" system at a cost of about $89,000 to the city.
B.C. Transit will cover $113,300 of the additional cost to the conventional system and its predicted revenue from bus fares will rise by $40,500.
The additional hours will also allow for improvements to the evening and weekend services.
The Prince George system was the only one of its size in B.C. without service on statutory holidays.
