Falon Burkitt and her Prince George Curling Club team rebounded from a slow start at the Tim Hortons Junior Women's provincial championship in Victoria to qualify for Saturday's final.

A conservative battle with Naniamo's Kesa Van Osch broke open in the sixth end when the Vancouver Island curler scored three to go ahead 4-2 on route to an 8-4 win in nine ends.

Burkitt and her team of Jessie and Ashley Sanderson and lead Sydney Gustafson began the tournament Wednesday with a 1-3 record, but bounced back with five straight wins to make the final.

In Saturday's semifinal, the Burkitt squad pulled off a 5-3 win over Stephanie Prinse's foursome from the Chilliwack Curling Club.
