Thursday from 7 to 8 p.m. at UNBC, 3333 University Way, Weldwood Theatre 7-238 the Prince George Photographic Society invites the public to join professional photographer Marc Koegel for a slideshow of his award-winning black and white long exposure photographs. Koegel will share tips on how to take photography to the next level. There will be time for questions. Tickets are $10 at the door. 

Celebration for B.C. 55+ Games athletes

Friday at 6 p.m. there is a celebration for athletes and friends at the Legion, 1116 Sixth Ave., starting with a buffet dinner and no-host bar. Meal, ceremonies and dance tickets are $15 each. The usual meat draw for Friday has been postponed because of this special event.

The Joey Only Outlaw Band

Saturday doors open at 8 with show starting at 9 p.m. at the Legion, 1116 Sixth Ave.

The Outlaw band is a hard hitting psychedelic bluegrass comedy act who can't be easily compared with anyone else. Tickets are $10 at the door. For more information call the Legion 250-562-1292.

Junk in the Trunk

Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the CN Centre parking lot, 2187 Ospika Blvd. S., REAPS Junk in the Trunk sale takes place. It's time to start gathering all discarded treasurers to sell at the biannual sale. Vendors must register by e-mailing events@reaps.org or calling 250-561-7327. Room for 150 vendors. $10 per stall collected day of event after set up.

26th annual Antique & Collectible Fair

Saturday from 10 to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Roll-a-Dome, 2588 Recreation Place, the SouthBowl Community Association presents this annual event. Entry is $4 for adults, $3 for students, children under six are free and for a weekend pass it's $7. 

Sweet Steps, Serenades, and Sundaes

Saturday from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at the Hart Community Centre, 4900 West Austin Rd., the Old Time Fiddlers host an evening featuring instructor Laurel McKirdy who will lead people through easy dances, including reels, partner dances, and a square dance. Be ready for lots of laughs. No experience necessary. Build-your-own ice cream sundae during intermission. Meet the Old Time Fiddlers and try your hand at fiddling during the break. Sharon Nicolas art exhibit

Saturday Oct. 1 to 31 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Artist Co-Op Workshop and Gallery, 3955 Hart Highway, will host Sharon Nicolas' art exhibit. BC Culture Days Music and Tea

Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m.  the Prince George Conservatory of Music at St. Andrew's United Church, 555 Fifth Ave., enjoy chamber music performances by the Conservatory faculty along with light refreshments. Neighbourhood Time Exchange Open House
