Volunteer PG Board Basics Workshop
Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m. in the Keith Gordon Room, Prince George Public Library, Volunteer Prince George is excited to offer a series of workshops designed to provide basic board training for volunteers serving the community. Good Cheer Club
Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. the Good Cheer Club will hold its annual garage sale at the AiMHi gymnasium, 950 Kerry St. There will be a whole host of items including household items and clothing. BC River's Day
Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Cottonwood Island Park join the BC River’s Day celebration called Connecting with our Rivers through recreation, spirituality and stewardship. Presented by the Water Gratitude Project, REAPS (Recycling & Environmental Action Planning Society), Department of Fisheries and Oceans, and Spruce City Wildlife Association. The activities begin on the Fraser River bank beside the CN train bridge and progress through Cottonwood Park, finishing at the SCWA Fish Hatchery. Swap Your Stash
Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Prince George Public Library, Bob Harkins Branch, bring fabric, yarn, beads, patterns & more to the library to swap with other crafters. Plus bring UFOs (unfinished objects) and work on them with like-minded people. How it works is bring craft supplies - trade craft supplies. Or, take craft supplies and make a donation to the Prince George Public Library. Any leftover items will be donated to the Hospital Auxiliary. Thursday, Sept. 29 from 7 to 8 p.m. at 3333 University Way, UNBC, Weldwood Theatre 7-238 the Prince George Photographic Society invites the public to join professional photographer Marc Koegel for a slideshow of his award-winning black and white long exposure photographs. Koegel will share tips on how to take photography to the next level. There will be time for questions. Tickets are $10 at the door.
