Building permit value $1.8 million in January

Building permits for nearly $1.8 million worth of work were taken out at city hall in January, according to a staff report. That's down from $2 million on 13 permits reached over the same month last year and $9.

Building permits for nearly $1.8 million worth of work were taken out at city hall in January, according to a staff report.

That's down from $2 million on 13 permits reached over the same month last year and $9.8 million on 35 permits for January 2015.

Two of 19 permits taken out last month were for $475,910 worth of single family homes.

Other significant permits included one for improvements worth $250,000 to the Veterans Affairs office in the HSBC Tower at 299 Victoria Street and for $250,000 worth of improvements to the administration office at Prince George Airport.
