The B.C. Federation of Labour is hosting a conference on regional development Friday and Saturday in Prince George, entitled Building a Brighter Future for B.C. Resource Communities.

The conference begins at 9 a.m. Friday in the main ballroom of the Coast Inn of the North.

Highlights of the conference include an opening address by Prince George mayor Dan Rogers and B.C. Federation of Labour president Jim Sinclair.

Also on tap Friday is UNBC economist Paul Bowles.

On Saturday, political commentator Will McMartin will speak on who pays what under the HST.

NDP leader Adrian Dix will give an address at 1 p.m.
