Break and enter suspects ram police car

Four people in custody after Prince George RCMP foiled and break and enter at a commercial business on Cowart Road early Saturday morning. Police were called to the scene at about 4 a.m.

Four people in custody after Prince George RCMP foiled and break and enter at a commercial business on Cowart Road early Saturday morning.
Police were called to the scene at about 4 a.m. Saturday and when they arrived, two adult males and two adult women took off from the compound of the building in a pickup truck, which they used to ram a marked police cruiser.
The truck, which sustained a badly-damaged tire in the collision with the police car, was still road-worthy enough to allow the the four suspects to leave the area. About 20 minutes later, the truck hit a parked car at low speed on Pioneer Avenue.
An RCMP dog handler was called in and the dog successfully track down the four occupants of the vehicle and they were arrested and detained. Both males are on the RCMP's prolific offender list.  
The two police officers in the cruiser sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to UHNBC for treatment, The RCMP's forensic identification section and an accident reconstruction specialist were brought in to help with the investigation,which is ongoing.
