At about 10:20 a.m. Tuesday, police were called to Malaspina elementary school to look for a missing child.
A police perimeter was established and a service dog was used to track the student inside that area.
"He was mad and walked away from the school. He has been found," said Prince George RCMP spokesman Cpl. Craig Douglass not long after the incident began. The child was a 10-year-old boy, but no identifying details were provided.
"He was discovered by a parent at home," Douglass said. "He had made it to his residence. He was safe, he was in good health, everything was fine. Once that was determined, it ceased being a police matter and was up to the school after that."
