Special Olympic bowlers will attempt to pin down a spot in the provincial games this weekend.
The Zone 8 regional qualifier for 10-pin bowling takes place at the Strike Zone Bowling Centre (2366 Westwood Dr.) today from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
It costs $10 for each bowler, with the competition beginning at 11 a.m. Bowlers are encouraged to show up on time or their scores will be affected which will hinder chances for advancement to the provincial tournament.
The bowling session will conclude with an awards presentation and light lunch.
