Boogie with the Stars will be hosting their annual New Year's Eve event after taking a pandemic hiatus in 2020.

The event is geared to raising money for local charities as local celebrities take on the challenge of performing a dance routine in front of a live audience who will then celebrate the new year at a dinner and dance gala.

The event is based on the hope that vaccinations will take effect by then and large gatherings will once again be allowed in a safe way.

As always the fundraiser is hosted by Paz Milbourn and Peter Weeden along with the Prince George Hospice Society.

Several couples will take to the stage and each will be raising money for a local charity.

Dancing partners Kyle Sampson and Kate McGowan; Don and Alicia Fitzpatrick and Jana Phillips whose partner is yet to be announced will raise funds for the local hospice, Chelsey and Andrew McDermout-Fouts will raise funds for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northern BC, while Angela McLaren and Julia Dillabough will raise funds from the Prince George Humane Society. The dancing partners who will raise funds for the Prince George Symphony Orchestra are to be announced at a later date.

Those wishing to donate online can do so by visiting http://boogiewiththestars.ca/ and clicking on their favourite couple and the charity they represent.
