MLAs Mike Morris and Shirley Bond officially opened their campaign office Friday.

With eight weeks to go until the May 9 election, the two Liberal MLAs welcomed their supporters to their campaign headquarters located in the Aspen Plaza on Westwood Drive.

"We want to make sure that we're open and accessible to the public and I'm curious to hear the public's thoughts on the upcoming election," said Morris.

Plans are currently in the works to have the spacious 7,000-plus square foot campaign office open to the public full-time daily.

"We are doing this today because we care about the future of B.C.," Bond said. "B.C. is number one in the country. It's leading in job creation and has the lowest unemployment. But is there more work to be done? You bet there is.

"We want to make sure the north is heard. Together, I know we can do it."
