Minister of Transportation and Infrastructure Shirley Bond met with representatives of three Japanese companies with significant investment in B.C. on Friday in Tokyo.

The mission is in Asia to promote the Pacific Gateway and generate new and expanded trade opportunities for B.C.

"Our meetings in Japan confirm that B.C. is seen as a good place to invest," said Bond. "There's a real sense of investor confidence in B.C., bolstered by the development of mining resources and supported by the $22 billion in Pacific Gateway investments underway in our roads, rail, ports and airports."
